Day-by-Day Itinerary

1
Day 1

Welcome to Maun

On arrival at Maun International Airport, guests are met and transferred to the hotel. The afternoon is free at leisure, with activities available at the lodge. In the evening, meet the guide and the rest of the group at the lodge at 18:00 for a pre-departure meeting. Overnight at Thamalakane River Lodge or similar; dinner included.

Day 2

Okavango Delta

Fly by light aircraft from Maun to Kadizora Camp, home for the next two nights, enjoying breathtaking views of the Okavango Delta. Situated in the wildlife-rich Mapula and Sekwana concessions, Kadizora Camp comprises just 12 spacious en-suite safari tents, each with a private deck overlooking the Okavango floodplain. Overnight at Kadizora Camp.

Day 3

Okavango Delta

Spend the day exploring the Okavango with an experienced guide. Head out in a traditional mokoro, a dugout canoe propelled by punt, to discover the delta's waterways and small islands, watching for hippo and crocodile by the water's edge, antelope and zebra on the banks and birds such as jacanas and kingfishers. Pull ashore on an island for a bush walk to track game and learn about the region's ecology, ending the day around the campfire at a beautiful delta sunset.
4
Day 4

Okavango Delta

Depending on the season, head out for a 4x4 game drive. In the northern Okavango, larger expanses of grasslands and mopane woodlands are punctured by lagoons and river tributaries. Elephant, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, kudu and red lechwe sightings are common, and the guide also seeks out predators including lion, leopard and the elusive wild dog. Between activities, relax at camp in the shade or enjoy a dip in the pool.
5
Day 5

Chobe National Park

After breakfast, head to the Kadizora Airstrip for the flight to Kasane, watching the wetlands of the Okavango give way to the savannah of Savuti and the forests and floodplains of Chobe National Park. On arrival in Kasane, in the far northeast of Botswana, travel by road to Chobe Safari Lodge for a two-night stay, located on the banks of the Chobe River. Time permitting, head out for an afternoon game drive in Chobe National Park, famous for its large elephant population, stunning scenery and incredible sunsets. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 6

Chobe National Park

Today is dedicated to tracking Africa's iconic wildlife. In open vehicles, leaving just after sunrise, there is a great chance to see elephants, giraffes, hippo, buffalo, zebra, lion and hyena, often several species in one view, especially by the river. From Chobe Safari Lodge, guests can also try fishing or join a sundowner river cruise. Overnight at Chobe Safari Lodge; breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 7

Chobe National Park

Another day is dedicated to tracking Africa's iconic wildlife. Day 8

Victoria Falls

After breakfast, guests are collected from the camp and taken across the border into Zimbabwe to a waterfront hotel. This afternoon, enjoy a guided tour of Victoria Falls with a qualified guide, getting as close as possible for photographs along the walkway and marvelling at the sheer power of the water cascading over the plateau to the valley floor, over 100 metres below. Breakfast and lunch included.
9
Day 9

Victoria Falls

Today is free to enjoy at leisure. From zip-lining to high tea on Stanley Terrace at the iconic Victoria Falls Hotel, there are activities for all. To appreciate the true magnitude of Africa's greatest natural wonder, take a helicopter ride over the falls and the surrounding National Park. Later in the afternoon, enjoy a cruise on the Zambezi River with selected drinks and snacks included, watching for hippos, crocodiles and birdlife.
