3 Days Tsavo East and Salt Lick Safari

Pick up from the hotel at around 06:00 and drive along the Mombasa-Nairobi highway for 100 km, with a stop over for coffee and short calls. Proceed 6 km to Tsavo East, the largest park in Kenya, covering 13,747 km2, and arrive at Bachuma. Begin the game drive en route to Aruba Dam, a waterhole where animals come to drink. Physical attractions include the Tsavo River, the Yatta Plateau (300 km2), Mudanda Rock, Lugard Falls, the Voi seasonal River and Aruba Dam. Look out for red elephants, rhinos, leopards, cheetahs and giraffes. Continue the game drive to Voi Safari Lodge, checking in at around 13:00. Have lunch and relax until 16:00, then set off on another game drive until 18:30, returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight (Voi Safari Lodge).

Wake up at around 05:30, have a cup of coffee and start an early morning game drive before the main breakfast, with a chance of seeing the big cats of Tsavo. Return to the lodge for the main breakfast at around 08:30, followed by a final game drive, then depart for Taita Hills Salt Lick, driving a distance of 80 km. Arrive in the early afternoon and check in at Taita Hills Lodge for lunch. Depart at around 14:30 to Hilton Salt Lick for a chance to see animals at the waterhole while at Salt Lick Lodge. Proceed for another game drive at 16:00 until 18:30. Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary was founded by the Hilton in the early seventies and covers an area of 24,000 Ha. Physical attractions include thorny bushes, acacia forests, arid and savannah, swamp and the Taita Hills. Animals found here include elephants, lions, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes and many types of birds such as ostriches, hornbills, guinea fowls, kingfishers and weaver birds. Dinner and overnight at Salt Lick Lodge.

Wake up at around 05:30, have a cup of coffee and start an early morning game drive before the main breakfast, with a chance of seeing the big cats of Taita Hills. Return to the lodge for the main breakfast at around 08:30, followed by a final game drive and lunch at Voi town. Drive back to the hotel.
