About This Tour

One of Kenya's oldest national parks, gazetted in 1948, Tsavo East is renowned for its unique safari experience. It is divided from Tsavo West by the railway that passes between them; together they form Kenya's largest park, spanning thousands of square kilometres and almost four gates. This safari explores both sides, from the dust-red elephants and open plains of the east to the volcanic cones, lava flows and Mzima Springs of the west.

Highlights

Herds of dust-red elephant wallowing, rolling or foraging
Aruba Dam on the north bank of the Voi River attracts thousands of animals
Mudanda Rock rises above a natural dam, drawing thousands of elephants
Mzima Springs, home to crocodiles, hippos, exotic fish and birds
The cones of recent volcanoes
Remnants of lava flows
