About This Tour

This 5-day budget safari explores three of Kenya's classic destinations. It begins with two days of game drives in the Maasai Mara, home to the Big Five and vast open plains, before moving to Lake Nakuru National Park for its flamingos, pelicans and white rhinos. The journey ends at Lake Naivasha with a boat ride and a guided walking safari on Crescent Island, where zebras, giraffes and antelopes roam freely.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1

Nairobi – Maasai Mara

Morning pick-up from the hotel in Nairobi. Drive through the scenic Great Rift Valley, stopping for panoramic views and photo opportunities. Arrive at Maasai Mara Game Reserve in time for lunch and check-in. In the evening, enjoy a first game drive in one of Africa's most famous wildlife destinations, where lions, elephants, giraffes and more may be spotted. Dinner and overnight at the lodge or camp. Day 2

Full Day in Maasai Mara

Spend the day exploring the incredible landscapes of the Maasai Mara, Kenya's premier safari destination. Morning and afternoon game drives offer excellent chances to see the Big Five and other wildlife such as wildebeest, zebras, cheetahs and hyenas. The park's riverine woodlands and sweeping plains provide perfect settings for wildlife photography. Optional: book a hot air balloon safari at sunrise for an unforgettable aerial view of the savannah. Dinner and overnight at the lodge or camp. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 3

Maasai Mara – Lake Nakuru

After an early breakfast, begin the journey to Lake Nakuru. Optionally, visit a traditional Maasai village en route to learn about the culture, traditions and lifestyle of this iconic Kenyan tribe. Arrive in Nakuru by evening for rest and relaxation. Dinner and overnight at the lodge. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 4

Lake Nakuru – Lake Naivasha

Begin the day with a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, home to flamingos, pelicans, white rhinos, Rothschild's giraffes and more. Visit Baboon Cliff for stunning views of the lake and surrounding forest, and see Makalia Falls, a hidden gem in the park. After lunch, drive to nearby Lake Naivasha for dinner and rest. Dinner and overnight at the lodge. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 5

Lake Naivasha – Nairobi

After breakfast, enjoy a serene boat ride on Lake Naivasha, followed by a guided walking safari on Crescent Island or horse riding at Sanctuary Naivasha, where guests can walk safely among animals such as zebras, giraffes and antelopes. After lunch in Naivasha, return to Nairobi, with drop-off at the hotel in the evening.
