Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Namibia and Journey to the Namib Desert

On arrival at Hosea Kutako International Airport, collect a 4x4 Toyota Fortuner and begin the scenic drive towards the Namib Desert, enjoying endless plains, rugged mountain ranges and vast open spaces. En route, stop at the desert settlement of Solitaire, renowned for its homemade apple pie, for a coffee break and photographs. Arrive at Namib Desert Lodge, check in and enjoy lunch (own account). The afternoon is free to relax, with views of the ancient, fossilised dunes and local wildlife such as springbok, ostriches and oryx, before an unforgettable desert sunset. Overnight at Namib Desert Lodge or similar.

Day 2

Discover the Namib Desert and Continue to Swakopmund

After an early breakfast, depart for an excursion into the Namib-Naukluft National Park. Visit Deadvlei, one of Namibia's most photographed landscapes, where centuries-old camel thorn trees stand against a white clay pan surrounded by red dunes. For the adventurous, climb the famous Big Daddy Dune for panoramic summit views. Continue to Sesriem Canyon, carved by centuries of erosion. Afterwards, journey towards Swakopmund, crossing the Gaub and Kuiseb Canyons and pausing at scenic viewpoints before reaching the Atlantic coast. Check in at Prost Hotel Swakopmund and spend the afternoon exploring the town's streets, shops, cafés and German colonial architecture. Overnight at Prost Hotel Swakopmund or similar.

Day 3

Walvis Bay City Tour

After breakfast, depart for Walvis Bay, Namibia's principal harbour town. Enjoy a guided city tour including the Walvis Bay Lagoon, with thousands of flamingos and coastal birdlife; the Pink Salt Pans; the bustling harbour and its maritime history; and free time for local shops, cafés and waterfront attractions. Return to Swakopmund in the afternoon for an evening at leisure, with dinner at one of the local seafood restaurants (own account). Overnight at Prost Hotel Swakopmund or similar.

Day 4

Luxury Catamaran Cruise and Sandwich Harbour Adventure

Following breakfast, travel to Walvis Bay Marina for a marine adventure aboard a luxury catamaran cruise, where guests may encounter Cape fur seals, bottlenose and Heaviside's dolphins, pelicans, seabirds and seasonal whales. Enjoy freshly prepared oysters, sparkling wine, light snacks and refreshments while cruising along the Atlantic coastline. Afterwards, continue on a 4x4 Sandwich Harbour excursion, where towering dunes meet the ocean, experiencing thrilling dune driving, panoramic viewpoints and wildlife including jackals, springbok and seasonal bird species. Return to Swakopmund in the late afternoon. Overnight at Prost Hotel Swakopmund or similar.

Day 5

Return to Windhoek

Enjoy breakfast before departing for Windhoek, travelling through Namibia's beautiful countryside with optional stops at scenic viewpoints and roadside craft markets. Arrive in Windhoek in the afternoon and check in at Hilton Garden Inn Windhoek. Spend the remainder of the day at leisure, exploring nearby restaurants or shopping. Overnight at Hilton Garden Inn Windhoek or similar.

Day 6

Departure

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before checking out. Depending on the flight schedule, drive to Hosea Kutako International Airport, return the rental vehicle and proceed with check-in for the departure flight. Bid farewell to Namibia with memories of magnificent desert landscapes, coastlines, wildlife and warm hospitality.
