Day 1

Entebbe – Kampala

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport and meet our representative before transferring to Kampala for dinner and an overnight stay at a hotel. (Dinner)
2
Day 2

Kampala – Bwindi

Set off early in the morning for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park; the safari takes a minimum of nine hours. Make a brief stop at the Equator line. The drive passes through the grasslands of Ankole, where the famous long-horned cattle are a common sight, then to the highlands of Kigezi with their beautifully terraced hills. Break off for lunch at a hotel en route. Continue through beautiful scenery to arrive at Bwindi National Park in the evening; the park is home to the rare mountain gorillas. Apart from gorillas, a wide variety of primates can be seen, including blue and red-tailed monkeys, and the forest is lush and green with streams running through it. Dinner and overnight at a lodge or luxury tented camp. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner)

Day 3

Bwindi Gorilla Tracking

After breakfast, set off early with your guide for gorilla tracking; the thrill of the encounter erases the difficulties of the potentially strenuous trek. Bring jungle boots and rain jackets, as the park is often wet. Spend time in awe watching the gorillas go about their activities. Each encounter is different and has its own rewards, with likely close views of adults feeding, grooming and resting while the youngsters frolic and swing from vines in a playful display. Return to camp exhilarated. Dinner and overnight at a lodge or luxury tented camp.
